1. Cost
of the Car: |
Cost of
the car is the actual price of the vehicle paid at the
auction (successful bid price). While this will be a
variable amount depending on the type of vehicle purchased,
we'll move on to other cost's common to all importation.

2. Auction Fees and other
charges in Japan: |
| Charges
involved are: Auction Fees, Bidding Fees, Inland Freight
Charge (Japan), Customs & De-registration Charges
(Japan) and Bidding Agents Fees. Major auction houses
we deal with has slightly different fees structure,
however this amount will be in the range of $1000 -
$1500 CAD. |

3. Shipping & Insurance: |
| Shipping and Insurance
(Japan to Canada, British Columbia) varies with size
and value of the vehicle. The shipping cost ranges from
$1200 for small cars up to $2200 for a full size SUV.
This is only an estimate up to BC, final shipping cost
depends on the delivery location (inland transport charges
to your location is not included). |

4. Import Duty in Canada: |
| Once the vehicle reaches
Canada, import duty of 6.1% is charged on the value
of the vehicle (GST is also collected along with the
import duty). |

Final Price of the car: |
The actual cost of the car is sometimes lower than
the overheads in the process of importation, but when
you crunch all the numbers you'll figure that this
is the most economical way of owning a one of a kind
vehicle. Note: Safety certificate, e-test, plates,
insurance, GST , PST & inspection costs are not
described here.
Importation Overheads are
between
$4,000 - $5,500 CAD + 6.1% import duty.
