Simple 7 Step Buying Process

We have taken out most risks associated with importation and overseas money transfers to unknown companies. All payments pertaining to importation is handled by Archinet Inc., parent company of JDMcars.ca. Which gives you the peace of mind in dealing with a Canadian company which complies with Canadian laws and regulations.

The buying process is simple and straight forward. We offer free and absolutely no obligation consultation. Once you have selected the model to buy, we will work out approximate cost based on recent auction prices, we would also explain all other costs involved like shipping and insurance.

Please read terms and conditions before your first step in the buying process. Your first step of contacting us, confirms you have fully read and understood our terms and conditions and that you completely agree.

  Step 1: Contact Us

The very first step of any buying process would be deciding on what you want to buy. Most of our clients are very precise on what they want (make and model). If you are not sure or would like to know if there would be a better option, just contact us through a detailed e-mail. We are happy to provide free and no obligation quotes and consultaion.

Step 2: Cost Calculation & Decision to Import

Upon reviewing we would reply back with a price range on the vehicle (make, model and year) you want to buy. (refer Cost Calculation page). At this point you would either decide to proceed further or hold on for further discussion. Whatever may be your decision just let us know.

   Step 3: Pay Deposit

Once you have decided to acquire your favorite JDM vehicle, you are required to pay a refundable deposit of 15% on estimated landed cost, payable to "Archinet Inc." Your payment could be either in US funds or Canadian funds. Methods of payments are certified cheque or bank transfer. Click here for our banking details . Note: You are using this service only after agreeing to our terms and conditions.

Step 4: Select the Vehicle You Like

Once we have received your deposit, a private web page will be created for you. Your personal web page on our site will be updated almost every day. Note: This private page will only contain vehicle information pertaining to your order.

The information presented to you are current, that is information of vehicles currently listed by the auction house, to be auctioned in the near future at a predetermined time and date. The personal page will cover information such as Auction date, Model year, Model Code, Mileage, Features and Vehicle Condition Grade along with two photos. Our personal comments will also be available to help you make a better choice. We will also send e-mails every time your page has been updated with new vehicles, while old and expired listings are removed. At this point you do not have to reply to our e-mail's just keep looking until you see the vehicle you like.

  Step 5: Submit Buy Order

When you come across the vehicle you like, you will submit a "buy order". The submission of the buy order should be done quick, allowing us to participate in the auction and to perform a physical inspection prior to the auction, ensuring the vehicle matches the auction grading.

The submission of the buy order can be done via signed fax document or by email from your email address that is used during the time of registration. You can download the buy order agreement form from your personal web page where the vehicle is listed. Please read FAQ #17,18,19.

Step 6: Successful Buy Order & Full Payment

Our agent in Japan will proceed with the buy order after a physical inspection. In the event of successful bid we would inform you immediately about the new vehicle you have just bought and congratulations! We will send you the invoice for your purchase based on the final bid price plus other charges including shipping, insurance and other fees described in the cost calculations page. If we are handling the customs clearance in Canada, the invoice will also include estimated import duty and GST. This payment should be wire transferred to our account within 36 hours. Please read FAQ #20. For unsuccessful bid, please read FAQ #19

Step 7: Shipment and Estimated Arrival Date to Canada.

Once the payment is received your vehicle will be transported to the port, de-registration and other procedures will be carried out to be shipped on the next available shipment schedule to Canada. All the documents pertaining to the consignment will be forwarded to us. If you are going to complete the customs clearance in Canada, we would send all the necessary paper work to your mailing address. For inspection and registration process please refer FAQ #23.
